Oil Pulling to Remove Toxins

A step by step guide to the art of oil pulling.  Oil pulling has been known to remove toxins from the body and aid in the healing of ailments in the mouth and throughout the body.

Purpose of this document

The intention of this document is to give the reader a step by step guide on how to use oil pulling to improve their health.  Oil pulling is becoming more popular as the general public searches for natural ways to heal their bodies.  

Oil pulling is the art of swishing oil in your mouth for twenty minutes to remove toxins from your body.  People have found to have better dental health, improved physical health, decreased aches and pains, as well as weight loss with continued Oil Pulling.  Individual results will vary and all information given is for educational purposes only.

The process of oil pulling is simple; the oil mixes with the saliva, activating enzymes which in turn remove toxins from the blood.  The oil will get thinner and white as a result.

Improved dental health from oil pulling can include whiter teeth, pinker gums, fresher breath, and tightening of loose teeth.  It can remove infections in the teeth and gums and because your oral health improves so does your overall health.

When and where is it applicable

Oil pulling can be done in the comfort of your home.  It is recommended that you pull at least once per day, but you can do it up to three times per day.  However, you should start out just once per day until you know how pulling is going to affect you.

How much time to do it

Oil pulling should last about twenty minutes to complete a session, and can be done up to three times per day.

Tools and Materials Needed     

The only tools and materials you will need is the oil you have selected for your pulling needs, a table spoon to measure out the correct amount of oil, and a glass to rinse your mouth and sink once your pulling session is complete

The best Oil to use is cold pressed organic sesame oil.  The second best is cold pressed organic sunflower oil followed by cold presses organic coconut oil.  It will take you some time to get used to the taste of any oil in your mouth and if you do not tolerate an oil well, simply change brands or oil type.

Step by step instructions 

1. When you first wake up in the morning it is very important that you do not brush your teeth, do not drink anything and do not eat anything. 

a. Oil pulling is most effective when done on an empty stomach.  

b. If you decide to pull two or three times a day, it is important to make sure you do it on an empty stomach.  i. At least two hours after a meal.

2. Measure one tablespoon of oil into a measuring spoon and put in to your mouth. 

a. Do Not Swallow the Oil

3. Gently swish and move the oil around your mouth.  According to Dr. Karach you should “sip, suck and pull through the teeth.” 

a. Be gentle, this is not the time for vigorous movements of oil.

b. As you slowly swish the oil around it will become thinner and of a milky consistency {white}.

i. If you are done with pulling and notice the oil is still yellow, you should continue pulling until the color has changed to white.

4. After fifteen to twenty minutes, and once the oil has become thin and white, you can spit it out into the sink.  Rinse the sink immediately as the toxins can cause it to stain.

5. Rinse out your mouth with tap water and use your fingers to wash off your teeth and tongue.  

a. There is no need to use a toothbrush and toothpaste after oil pulling.
